Houston's largest holiday shopping event: four days of merchants from across the country, raising money for Houston Ballet since 1981.
The Nutcracker Market fills the Reliant Center (the former NRG Center) every November with hundreds of merchants selling gifts, decor, clothing, toys and holiday food. It has been running since 1981 and has raised more than $100 million for Houston Ballet.
Alongside general shopping there is a preview party the night before and two ticketed fashion-show luncheons. Weekday mornings are the least crowded. Parking is paid by card at the gates with no re-entry, and bags larger than 11 x 17 inches are not allowed.
