Choose-and-cut farm near Denison, about an hour north of Dallas, with pre-cut trees too. No early tagging: trees go on sale opening day.
Elves Christmas Tree Farm is in Grayson County near Denison, about an hour north of Dallas up US-75. Families can walk the fields to choose and cut a tree, or pick one of the pre-cut trees. The farm also runs a pumpkin patch in the fall.
The farm does not allow early sales or tagging trees in advance, so everyone gets the same chance on opening day, Friday, November 27. After that it opens every day until the trees are sold out, with short weekday afternoon hours. Payment is by cash, check or card, with a $5 minimum on cards.
