Moody Gardens on Galveston Island hosts Holiday in the Gardens each winter. The centerpiece is a walking trail of light displays, and past seasons have added extras such as ice skating, holiday shows and visits with Santa. Some attractions are sold separately or in bundles, so compare the ticket options before you go.
It is about an hour from downtown Houston, and the Moody Gardens Hotel is next door if you want to make a night of it.
