Prairie Lights is one of the biggest drive-thru light shows in North Texas: a two-mile route through Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, with more than 5 million lights. About halfway there is Holiday Village, where you can park and walk through a lit forest before driving on.
Tickets are priced per vehicle: general admission was $50 a car on the event's ticket page, with a Fast Pass lane for $149 that skips the line. Vans and buses pay more. Because you stay in the car, it works with toddlers, grandparents and dogs.
The show runs every night from 6 pm. Its site gave Nov 26 – Dec 31 without confirming the year, so check the dates before you go.
